BIXBY, Okla. — Bixby Public Schools canceled school Tuesday, Nov. 3 after a positive COVID-19 case within the district's transportation department.

School officials said at least seven bus drivers are under quarantine. To give the district time to develop different bus schedules, Miller said all campuses will be closed Tuesday and there will be no distance learning.

BPS families,

Due to a positive COVID case in our transportation department, we must quarantine at least 7 of our bus drivers.

To provide the district time to develop alternate bus schedules to resume transportation services as soon as possible, we will be closing all campuses on Tuesday, November 3rd. As this is a cancellation of school, there will be no distance learning.

Secondary routes for students attending Tulsa Tech will run as normal.

School employees are expected to report to their work sites.

The district will communicate further details tomorrow, with the hope of resuming school on Wednesday.

We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience and cooperation.
Superintendent Rob Miller
