TULSA — The 61st and Peoria area in Tulsa will receive a new name on Saturday during a block party.
The area will be named the Hope Valley neighborhood, which features apartments, businesses and homes.
“I’m so excited to show off the new Hope Valley signs and to support this citizen-led re-branding effort,” Councilor Cue said. “I want to thank everyone who has been working so hard making sure this community is not defined by an intersection. This is a new day in Hope Valley.”
The name was chosen by the community and officially rolls out the unveiling of new neighborhood signs on Saturday. The unveiling will take place during a community service event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, which will feature free food and refreshments from Tulsa Police, live music and activities for kids and families.
