PORTER, Okla. — Organizers are canceling the 54th annual Porter Peach Festival during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The festival had been set to take place July 16-18.
In a Facebook video, the festival chairman said it was a difficult decision but, "in the situation that we're in, we felt that it was the best for our community, our vendors, and also our people that come to the festival."
The chairman said he is looking towards "a better and bigger" festival next year.
