HOMINY, Okla. — An Oklahoma Highway Patrol homicide unit is investigating a woman's death late Thursday night in Osage County.
The incident happened at about 11:30 p.m. on Thursday on State Highway 20, one mile west of County Road 5360 and five miles west of Hominy.
Troopers said Kathryn Prater, 44, departed the passenger's seat of a moving vehicle and struck the roadway. She was pronounced dead on scene.
The driver was not hurt.
The case is under investigation by an OHP homicide unit and the Osage County Sheriff's Office.
