KETCHUM, Okla.- Friends and neighbors of a Ketchum family are mourning their loss tonight after fire claims four lives early Sunday morning.
Fire marshals say a woman, her son and two children were found inside a mobile home engulfed in flames.
It's a pretty rural area where the fire happened, but 2 Works For You spoke with one resident who said she was honored to be a neighbor and friend of the family.
A somber day for people in Ketchum as they heard the news of what happened to one of their neighbors.
"I don't know what else to say, I’m still in shock," said neighbor Mary Oakley.
Oakley, who lives just a few miles away, says her heart sank.
"When my friend called me, I immediately got in the Tahoe and came over to see about Betty," she said.
Oakley says her worst fears were confirmed when she saw her friend's home reduced to a burned-out shell.
Fire marshals say a 66-year-old woman, her 38-year-old son, a 12 and 14 year old -- all already gone by the time crews found the home on fire.
No names have been released, but Oakley knows it was Betty...and she says the loss is overwhelming.
"They didn't have much but they were willing to share everything they had. Because there was always someone that needed it more than they did," Oakley said.
As investigators search for clues of what happened, Oakley says there's now a missing piece in the community.
"Sometimes words fail me, and for words to fail me, they're going to fail everyone else too," she said.
State fire marshals are still investigating what caused the fire.
