HUGHES COUNTY, Okla. -- A 33-year-old man died early Friday morning on a private pond southwest of Stuart, officials said.
An Oklahoma Highway Patrol report said David Reyes-Jimenez, 33, of Lewisville, Texas, was in a pond 20 feet from the shoreline when the kayak he was in overturned.
Officials said Reyes-Jimenez went underwater and never resurfaced.
Two juveniles who were in the kayak were wearing flotation devices and made it to shore.
