30 evacuated after east Tulsa business fire; roadway closed in area

TULSA -- Thirty people were evacuated Wednesday morning after a fire at an east Tulsa business.

The fire was reported at 8:40 a.m. at 222 South Memorial. The fire happened at Sertoma, a business that employs disabled adults.

Firefighters do not know what caused the fire yet but believe it started in the workshop. 

No one was injured. One of the workers was transported to the hospital for emotional distress.  

Sertoma is closed for the day. They declined to comment until they know more. 

Memorial is closed in the area while crews respond to the fire.

The fire has been extinguished. It is unclear how the fire started at this time.

One person was taken to the hospital for emotional distress but no injuries were reported in the fire.
