TULSA – The 3-year-old who was found unresponsive in a pool passed away Tuesday evening, says police.
The little boy was found in backyard swimming pool after somehow making his way outside and unsupervised, says Tulsa police. Initially, EMSA transported the toddler to a nearby hospital in critical condition but he later died.
Tulsa police say there were several children and adults in the area at the time the toddler fell into the pool but criminal charges are not being sought at this time. The investigation is still ongoing but Tulsa police are stressing child safety around water.
Tulsa Police Child Crisis Unit says this investigation is the third near death drowning involving a toddler that is being investigated in less than a week.
