TULSA - Two people are in the hospital following a pair of back-to-back crashes that killed one person this week.

The driver in the vehicle that instigated the wrecks, Christopher Mitchell, was arrested for murder in the second degree and leaving the scene of an injury or death.

Tulsa police officers spent the night processing two crash scenes near 61st and Yale. According to police, Christopher Mitchell, 27, hit a couple on a motorcycle and then took off. Later the suspect allegedly ran a red light then crashed into another car.

Ultimately the crash killed the car’s driver, Stacie Dry, 22, and the suspect was pulled out of the vehicle by firefighters.

Currently both of the motorcyclists are also in serious, but stable, condition.
