TULSA – One firefighter is recovering after being injured during a house fire in north Tulsa.

Crews were called to the residence located near East Newton Street around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Officials say the firefighter was physically shocked by the house’s smart meter that did not deactivate when it was supposed to.

Now three people who were living in the home, as well as three dogs, are forced to find another place to stay.
