According to a press release from officials with Oklahoma State University, last night officials learned of 23 positive cases of COVID-19 in an off-campus sorority house.

Officials say due to the severity of this situation, the entire chapter house is in isolation or quarantine.

OSU and the Payne County Health Department are closely monitoring all individuals, contact tracing is also being conducted to protect others that will be at the campus.

A third-party contractor has been brought in to disinfect the facility and will return after the two-week isolation period.

Officials with OSU tell us, "we’ve prepared for this for five months and have protocols in place to manage the situation. Our priority is the safety and well-being of our campus community and transparency in communications."
