TULSA - A young woman is charged with DUI after driving the wrong direction on I-244 early Saturday morning, causing a three-car accident, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.

OHP was called to the scene of an accident on I-244 between Harvard and Yale at about 1:35 a.m. The trooper's investigation of the scene revealed that a 1998 Ford Ranger, driven by 20-year-old Megan Hobbs, was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes and collided with a vehicle head-on. A third vehicle then ran into the two other cars.

Hobbs was transported to St. John Hospital and was admitted with internal and leg injuries, according to the OHP report. The trooper says she was in stable condition.

The drivers of the other vehicles also were transported to the hospital and listed in stable condition with multiple injuries.

Tulsa Fire Department first responders were able to free Hobbs from her vehicle in a little more than 20 minutes, using the Jaws of Life. The other two drivers were extracted from their crumpled vehicles in about 15 minutes, according to the OHP.
