BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - Broken Arrow Police say the death of a 2-month old baby found unresponsive Monday afternoon does not appear to be suspicious.
Shortly before 3 p.m., Broken Arrow Police and Fire personnel were dispatched to a residence in the 1700 block of N. 27th Street, in reference to the infant female.
Upon arrival, the infant was quickly transported by ambulance to a local hospital. Efforts to revive the child were made during transport, however, she was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after 4 p.m.
Despite the lack of suspicious findings of evidence, the investigation into the baby's death remains open. The Medical Examiner's Office is conducting its own investigation to determine the exact cause of death.
There were several other children inside the residence at the time and arrangements were made to have them picked up. DHS was contacted and responded to the location.
