TULSA – Two family dogs have reportedly died after a house fire broke out Tuesday night, says Tulsa firefighters.

Fire crews were called to the 12400 block of East 26th Street around 7:15 p.m. to a house fire. Heavy flames were found in the back bedroom but the two residents were able to exit the house safely.

The pair’s two pet dogs were unable to escape and died in the fire, said Tulsa Fire Department.

Red Cross is helping the pair with a new place to stay for the night.

Tulsa fire crews are still investigating the cause of the house fire and assessing damage.
