The 2 Cares for the Community Peanut Butter Drive returns for the sixth year to benefit the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.
The drive will be held right in front of the 2 Works for You station on Wednesday, September 18.
2 Works for You Chief Meteorologist Mike Collier, anchors, reporters, volunteers from the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma and other special guests will be accepting donations from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. curbside outside our studio.
Thanks to 2 Works for You viewers, the station has raised thousands of pounds of peanut butter plus thousands of dollars during the drive.
The Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma can accept any and all peanut butter collected and will offer it to their 450 partner programs in eastern Oklahoma. Most of the peanut butter will go to low-income students and their families.
Protein-packed items are the most-needed items at the Food Bank and help ensure families have access to nutritious food for their children.
Monetary donations to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma are also accepted.
