LAWTON, Okla. — Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation agents are investigating an officer-involved shooting which happened in Lawton on early Monday morning.
The shooting happened just before 2 a.m. in the 6300 block of Northwest Maple.
Lawton police said they were called to a domestic disturbance involving a 19-year-old man and his mother. Police said the man had left the home two assault rifles and a handgun, and then drove to the NW Maple location.
Police said in their response to the scene, three officers opened gunfire on the man, killing him.
The officers are on paid leave during an investigation of the incident.
