TULSA, Okla. — Just like phoenix, the Admiral Twin drive-in rises from the ashes and continues to delight movie-goers.
Thursday marked the 10th anniversary when the Admiral Twin burned to the ground.
Those driving along the highway got a different kind of show.
"So, 10 years ago, we burned down. We rebuilt the place," owner Blake Smith said. "Every 10 years, we are kind of the hot place, you know. No pun intended. And this year with the pandemic, it has made us the place to go to."
Admiral Twin has been open since mid-May, playing some retro titles and offering a unique getaway from the world for just a moment or two.
