OWASSO, Okla. – One person is dead and another is in serious condition following a two vehicle wreck on Friday.
Owasso police were called to 106th Street North and Memorial where two drivers collided around noon.
According to police, the first driver was southbound on Memorial and the second driver was eastbound on 106th Str. North. The second driver failed to yield at a stop sign and hit the first driver.
The first driver was transported in serious condition and the second driver, Gregory Stearns of Tahlequah, was pronounced dead around 12:45 at a nearby hospital.
The intersection was closed in all directions for three hours while investigators worked the scene, but is now open.
