TULSA-- Hundreds of Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz fans were disappointed Saturday night after the hip hop artists unexpectedly cancel their show at the BOK Center.
"I had my heart set on this wonderful concert and he's not here," said Concert Goer Damon Oates.
"It's really disappointing, becuase I was bringing my son to his first concert," said Concert Goer Billie Vann
Tommy Johnson said he even travled from Colorodo expecting to see Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz perform.
"I'm very frustrated because I was really looking forward to it. I'm all the way from Denver Colorado and it was a long trip, looking forward to this and this is what happens"
The BOK Center announced on social media after 5:00 pm that the 7:00 pm show was canceled for reasons beyond their control. Lil Wayne later took to Twitter apologizing to fans also saying the show was canceled for circumstances beyond his control and that he would be back soon.
"He's been an icon to us ever since we were in high school. It's pretty disappointing," said Concert Goer Jakob Williams.
There isn't any word on whether the concert will be rescheduled. Johnson said he just hopes he'll have another opportunity to see his favorite artists perform in the future.
"I want to see him I've never gotten a chance to see him. He's my favorite artist so I'm hoping everything's okay with him," said Johnson.
According to the BOK Center, refunds will be available starting Monday at the point of purchase.
