TULSA-- The community of Jenks rallied together Sunday night to show their support for Head Football Coach Allan Trimble following his recent ALS diagnosis.
The ceremony was hosted by Park Plaza Church of Christ.
During the ceremony speakers prayed for Trimble, his family, players coaches and the Jenks community. Songs were sang, tears were shed and laughs were made.
Coach Trimble thanked everyone for showing their support, giving all the glory to God.
Trent Taber, a former player for Trimble, says he was shocked when he heard the news about Trimble’s diagnosis, but said it’s nothing the coach can’t handle.
“God put this in Allan’s life because he knows that he can handle it. He’s one of the strongest men that i’ve ever met and there’s nobody better suited just to kind of model what going through something like this should look like,” Former Football Player Trent Taber.
Trimble's current players ay they plan on working even harder for the man whose led Jenks to 13 state championships.
Trimble was given a standing ovation at the end of the ceremony.
