After living without a permanent home in large city, one man is finally able to purchase his own residence.

Matthew Chapman was able to assist officials in San Francisco after he noticed two fugitives who recently escaped from the Orange County jail in January.

Chapman says he noticed the pair at a Whole Foods parking lot and remembered them after reading about the situation in a newspaper.

Now, Chapman has been awarded $100,000 for assisting police in locating the suspects. Thanks to the reward, Chapman says, he can now use the money to start a new life.
