FORT GIBSON, Okla. (AP) -- A Fort Gibson woman was killed when the vehicle she was riding in was involved in a two-vehicle collision on US Highway 62 in Muskogee County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 66-year-old Johnie Oakball died in the crash about 8 p.m. Monday near Fort Gibson.

An OHP report says Oakball was a passenger in a vehicle that was westbound on the highway when it collided with a northbound vehicle that failed to yield while attempting to cross the highway.

The report says both drivers were hospitalized in stable condition.
