In a post that has, so far, been shared more than 5,400 times, one woman is encouraging people to not just vote for a cause but to go out and contribute to making a difference in the issues they find important.

Lauren Pinkston lives in Tennessee but her message is starting to be shared around the nation.

From her Facebook page, it appears she is a mother of two beautiful daughters, and believes in God.

The post in question was published on October 11 and starts with “I don't care who you vote for on November 8. I really, really don't care. I care about who you are.”

Pinkston writes that “God didn't create government to transform people's lives. He created people to work in His power to do that personal and redemptive thing.”

Then she points out that if a voter cares about a certain issue that they should not just vote for the candidate that best suits their beliefs but also go out and contribute to making the change they wish to see.

“If you care about refugees' rights, what are you doing to partner with these vulnerable communities? To learn another language and culture? To help them integrate into our society,” she writes.
