It’s the event the entire country is looking forward to, and Monday millions will watch the total solar eclipse.
Dr. Robert Zoellner spoke about how to keep your eyes safe during the event on 2 Works for You midday.
Below are some tips on how to protect your eyes during the eclipse:
- It’s safe to be outside during the eclipse you just don’t want to look directly at the sun without protective eye wear
- These include solar eclipse glasses with ISO 12312-2 certification or a welding shield with a protective shade 14
- Your strongest/darkest sunglasses won’t be strong enough to protect your eyes
