Kevin Hern is the son of a 22-year Air Force veteran. Hern worked as an Aerospace Engineer for Rockwell and later, in 1985, started his own small computer and software business. In 1997, Hern bought his first McDonald's Restaurant after selling his hog farm. He went on to build an organization that owns 18 McDonald's Restaurants, employing over 1,000 people in the Tulsa area. On Nov. 13, 2018, Hern was sworn into Congress, serving Oklahoma's 1st District.
Hern and his wife, Tammy, live in Tulsa with their three children and are members of the Church at Battle Creek.
