A man was arrested early Wednesday morning after he "misplaced" his daughter during an alcohol run.

According to Las Vegas police, they received a call from a 7-Eleven clerk at the 2220 W. Charleston Boulevard around midnight. The clerk told police that the man, who appeared intoxicated, came into the store around midnight and attempted to buy alcohol. However, his card was declined.

Approximately 2 hours later, the man returned and asked if the clerk had seen his 4-year-old daughter. A short time later, the man was spotted looking for his daughter in the parking lot of a Smith's grocery store near Rancho Drive and Charleston Boulevard.

Officers began searching for the little girl and found her sleeping between two power boxes. Police contacted Child Protective Services and took the father into custody.

Las Vegas police released his name and mug shot around 10 a.m. He has been identified as Edwardo Zepeda. Arrest records show Zepeda has multiple run-ins with the law ranging from traffic violations to domestic battery to burglary. He wil face a judge Thursday morning.
