CACHE, Okla. (AP) -- The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says a Comanche County deputy shot and killed a man at a home in Cache.
The OSBI says 52-year-old David Swatsky was shot shortly before midnight Friday while walking toward law officers and pointing a gun at them. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The agency says deputies responding to a report of a suicidal person at the home found Swatsky in a bedroom and when he came out of the room he refused to put down the gun before being shot.
The deputy's name was not released.
The OSBI said its agents are investigating the shooting and will provide a report to the district attorney to determine if it was justified.
