TULSA – One of Tulsa’s own concert and event arenas recently beat out some of the nation’s most iconic venues for an international award this week.
The International Buyers Association awarded the BOK Center as the “Arena of the Year” for 2016 on October 11.
According to its statement, the BOK Center has been nominated for the award three times and this year it beat out other venues such as Madison Square Garden, Barclays Center in New York and the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA.
The BOK Center opened in 2008 and since then musical acts such as Garth Brooks, Coldplay, Justin Timberlake and, in November, Billy Joel.
