Wagoner County - One man is behind bars and two men are wanted for first-degree murder after a shooting death in Wagoner County on Sunday.
According to affidavits filed on Tuesday, the alleged ambush and murder was the result of a love triangle between Ray Jordan of Muskogee, Jordan's estranged wife and the 27-year-old victim, Drew Gibson.
Investigators say text messages and witness testimony indicated Jordan and Brandon Grimland, the owner of the home at 68334 S. 318 Ct., planned to set a trap for Gibson. When Gibson arrived at the home on Sunday, they say Jordan and Aaron Lee Masterson of Checotah were waiting for him.
According to the affidavits, Jordan sprinted at an unsuspecting Gibson and tackled him. An eyewitness heard a gun shot and observed Gibson on the floor, bleeding from a wound to the chest. He observed a silver gun in Jordan's hand.
The witness stated that Jordan told him it was an accident.
Grimland was booked into the Wagoner County Jail on a complaint of drug possession. A spokesperson with the Wagoner County District Attorney's Office confirmed a charge of first-degree murder was later added to Grimland's charges.
Masterson and Jordan are still at large.
