TULSA – Authorities arrived at an east Tulsa mobile home park Tuesday morning to find two people with wounds from a shotgun, with one pronounced dead.

Tulsa police say they knocked on the door of a mobile park home to find a 69-year-old man with “self-inflicted” gunshot wounds as well as a woman, 54, with gunshot wounds to the chest.

Police report that the woman is currently in a nearby hospital in critical condition.

The couple is believed to be married, says police, but they are unsure if the couple has a history of domestic issues.

“We’ll have to piece this together from the 911 call initially, from possible previous domestic calls, or calls out to this location,” said Leland Ashley, TPD public information officer.

Neighbors told authorities that incidents such as this one are uncommon in the area.
