TONKAWA, Okla. -- Authorities in Tonkawa are investigating after a 13-year-old allegedly made threats toward a local school, reports KFOR.

Sunday, officials with the Tonkawa Police Department say they received a tip about a possible mass shooting plot at Tonkawa High School.

Officials learned that a 13-year-old girl made threats toward specific students and the school.

After searching the girl's home, authorities say they discovered ammunition as well as personal writings.

The young girl is believed to be the only possible suspect in the foiled attack. The girl has been charged with threats to perform acts of violence.
