You might be looking for that shrub that looks good but is also tough. Look no further than the nandina.
Paul James, with Southwood Landscape and Garden Center, says the nandina is "tough as nails".
He says the nandina can tolerate full sunshine but can also handle a good amount of shade. It doesn't care about soil conditions and is pest and disease free.
