Fun Food Friday: Mazzio's is celebrating the 55th Anniversary of Ken's Pizza with special savings

Posted

TULSA--Mazzio's Italian Eatery is celebrating the 55th anniversary of Ken's pizza with specials and in giving back to our community.

In 1961 Tulsa schoolteacher Ken Selby opened a pizza parlor as a side business.  His unique recipe featured a thin and crispy crust, spicy sauce and fresh toppings that everybody loved.  Ken left teaching as the craving for Ken’s Pizza grew.  Over time, he built it into a large family of Mazzio’s restaurants that today spreads across nine states.  This year, Mazzio’s celebrates the 55th anniversary of the pizza that started it all; Ken’s Pizza.

Mazzio's serves the pizza that started it all, a large Ken’s Supreme. Many people don’t realize that you can get a Ken’s pizza every day at Mazzio’s. They are celebrating the 55th anniversary by offering a large Ken’s Supreme pizza for only $11.00.  And if you add a large Mazzio’s 1-topping pizza, you can get them both for $19.61, in honor of the year Ken's was founded.

They have a new flavor of Wing Run ® Wings, the Sweet Memphis Dry Rub.  It’s got an amazing flavor.  It’s a little bit sweet with a little bit of heat.  In all, they've got 12 great flavors which are available as boneless or traditional.

And for those with a sweet tooth, Mazzio's has new cookies!  They sell a Chocolate Chunk Cookie and also an Oreo Crunch Cookie.  They’re 9” cookies and are only $5.99 each.

Right now, Mazzio's is seeking to help end childhood hunger and so they are offering “No Kid Hungry” collectible cups for a $1.00 donation or coupon strips for a $3.00 donation.  The coupon strip has offers worth over $20 in value at Mazzio’s.
