Fall, Halloween themed events around Green Country, Tulsa for 2016

What are you planning to do to celebrate the spookiest of all holidays: Halloween?

We’ve found some events that will satiate your need for ghouls, pumpkins and fun fall treats! Most of the events are located in the Tulsa area or close by.

BooHaHa in Brookside

According to the event’s website it’s “Oklahoma’s Largest Halloween Celebration.” It will include pet costume contests, trick-or-treating and the Annual BooHaHa Parade! Learn more about the event scheduled for October 29 by clicking the link above. 

Boo on Broadway

Costume contests and coffin races start at 3 p.m. at the Triangle in Sand Springs. This community event appears to be fun for the whole family and will be held on October 29. 

Hallowmarine at the Jenks Aquarium

For five nights you can trick-or-treat with your kids at the Jenks Aquarium. The event kicks off October 27 through October 31 starting at 6:30 p.m. each night and ending at 9 p.m.  

HallowZOOeen at the Tulsa Zoo

It’s the Halloween event the zoo deems “spooky but not too scary” and will be held October 27 through October 31. All the funds raised will be used to help make the zoo better every year. Buy tickets for $8 (non-members) or $7 (members) by clicking the link above. 

Pleasant Valley Farms 6th Annual Pumpkin & Winter Squash Festival

Bluegrass music, food, corn mazes and pumpkin bowling are just a few of the activities taking place at this event that has FREE entry. It will be located at 22350 West 71st Street South in Sand Springs from October 15 to October 16. 

Heaven and Helloween Party

The Pearl District Building is hosting a spooky gathering on Halloween weekend. There will be prizes for certain costumes, such as “best couple costume,” or “best group costume.” The party will be held on October 29 at 1209 3rd Street starting at 9 p.m. You must be 21 to enter and there is a $5 cover charge. 

Zombie Dance Party

The Max Retropub in the Blue Dome District is tapping into the Thriller vibes and partnering with Wizard World to host this “Walking Dead” type of event. It will be held at 114C South Elgin Ave Ste C. on October 20 starting at 9 p.m. Yes, there will be a zombie costume contest! 

Spider Ball

Enso, Electric Circus and IDL Ballroom are hosting the 8th annual Halloween event on October 29 starting at 9 p.m. You must be 21 to attend the costume party at 1st and Detroit. 

Nightmare

If you really want to be scared, then visit this attraction. It’s held every Friday and Saturday in October starting at 7 p.m. at 4300 South 91st East Avenue. Tickets are $15 for general admission or $25 for an express pass. 

Hex House

Here is another really scary attraction to visit at 5610 West Skelly Drive. The event is open every weekend in October and tickets cost $25 for a regular ticket and $30 for VIP speed pass. 

Castle of Muskogee Halloween Festival

From mazes to hayrides and even creepy castles, this event is well-known throughout Green Country. It will be held through October 29 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
