Clear the Shelters 2016 a major success; hundreds of animals adopted in Tulsa

Clear the Shelters 2016 saw huge success in Tulsa and nationwide, with thousands of animals adopted.

A total of 540 pets in Green Country now have forever homes, thanks to the event. Tulsa's SPCA saw 58 dogs and cats to new families.

The Humane society was able to completely clear the shelter and even brought in more pets from the organizations emergency shelter in Bixby. In total, the Humane Society of Tulsa matched more than 70 animals with their forever homes.

Woodland Hills Mall saw its fair share of adoptions throughout the day as well, with 10 animal rescue groups bringing dozens of animals to the Clear the Shelters initiative.
