An extreme sports daredevil broke a few bones after a costly mistake.

Joseph McGuire took nine hours to find a way to the top of the Fairmont Hotel in Vancouver.

He discovered his only access to the top was a rubber power cable hanging about 30 feet from the roof.

McGuire grabbed the cable and started climbing hand over hand as his friend watched from below.

He doesn’t have the strength to get to the top, and his hand starts to slip.

Eventually, McGuire is unable to hold on any longer and tumbles 30 feet down, hitting his friend before flipping and landing on his back.

He ended up breaking his right arm and left shoulder, as well as suffering some minor spinal injuries.
