The Blind Auditions are a thing of the past. It's now time to battle!
The Battle Rounds of The Voice began Monday night, but it's Tuesday night's episode that really means something to Green Country.
Justin Whisnant, who lives in Shawnee, battled Mary Sarah, who lists Tulsa as her hometown, according to NBC. Whisnant and Sarah are artists on Team Blake.
Shelton had them sing Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man by Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty. Saying he had to think about the show and the competition it is, Blake chose Mary to continue. And just like that, Justin's time on The Voice came to end.
We met up with Justin Tuesday afternoon to talk about his experience on the show. Watch his comments in the video player above.
Next up was Skiatook native Kata Hay and Chelsea Gann of Liberty Mounds in a battle of Team Christina artists.
During their practice sessions with Aguilera and guest coach Patti Labelle, Aguilera encouraged Kata to focus and Chelsea to loosen up. They sang I'm the Only One by Melissa Etheridge, and according to Pharrell Williams, it was going to be a tough decision to determine a winner.
Christina ultimately chose Kata Hay to move on in the competition.
There are at least four other battles Tuesday night. Watch The Voice on channel 2 from 7 until 9 p.m.
