TULSA – KJRH 2 Works for You has hired two experienced media leaders for the newsroom and sales team: Warren Stewart, will serve as news director for 2 Works for You; and Stephanie Knight, will work as local sales manager.
Warren Stewart has more than 17 years of news experience, and for the past month has served as interim news director at 2 Works for You. He arrived in Tulsa from Cleveland where he was the executive producer at WEWS, another station owned by The E.W. Scripps Company. Prior to that he was assistant news director in New Orleans at WDSU. He started his career as a producer at WOFL in Orlando, Florida. He was an executive producer in Columbus, Ohio and Senior Executive Producer in Hartford, Connecticut.
During his career, he’s been honored with Emmy Awards for News Excellence and Station Excellence, a Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Television Political Journalism, and multiple regional Edward R. Murrow Awards.
“In just a short time, Warren has had a positive impact on our news team, helping 2 Works for You to be more aggressive to make sure we stay true to our mission of working for our viewers,” said Amy Calvert, vice president and general manager for KJRH.
“I’ve only been in Tulsa a short time, and I’ve learned quickly how vibrant the community is and how dedicated this newsroom is to serving our audiences,” added Warren. “We have an impressive team of journalists who are already doing great work, and I am ready to help them extend their efforts even more.”
Stephanie Knight brings more than 17 years of experience in strategic planning, business development, and management of client accounts and revenue to her new position as Local Sales Manager at 2 Works for You. A Tulsan for her entire life, she worked most recently as regional digital sales manager at Tulsa World, the local newspaper, and has also been a top performer at Cox Media, winning the prestigious Top Sales Manager award two times.
“Stephanie’s local experience will be invaluable to 2 Works for You,” added Calvert. “Her ongoing relationships with our advertisers will expand our knowledge of their commercial needs, and help grow their customer base through our many broadcast and digital avenues of advertising.”
