As severe weather season rolls into Green Country, you may be wondering how to stay ahead of the storm.

The Storm Shield weather app allows you to track the storm in real time, sending you alerts as severe weather develops across your area.

You can input your location, and four more locations, so that you know what the weather is doing in the area where you are and where you have friends and family.

There are more than 100 severe weather situations you can manage. When the National Weather Service issues an alert for a weather situation you've selected, and the path of the storm will affect one of your saved locations, you will receive a push notification to your phone.

And, you can watch our live streaming weather coverage which is important especially if your power goes out or you need to get into your safe place.

When using the app, make sure to turn your phone's volume on so that you can hear the weather alerts in real time.

Storm Shield Phone Call Alerts: If you don't have a smartphone, Storm Shield Phone Call Alerts gives you a phone call to your land line or old flip phone, based on your registered home address.
