OWASSO, Okla. – The man accused of murdering an infant by child abuse pleaded not guilty this week.
Court documents show that Brandon Nordstedt entered a not guilty plea in charges related to the death of 11-month-old Emmy O’Rourke.
O’Rourke’s death was classified as a homicide from multiple blunt impact injuries, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Nordstedt was taken into custody after authorities found O’Rourke unresponsive and in his custody last year. He was arrested and charged with child abuse murder on the day that should have been Emmy O’Rourke’s first birthday.
