KJRH wins 2016 Great Plains Journalism award for Best Overall Website Design

TULSA - The Tulsa Press Club announced the 2016 Great Plains Journalism Awards winners Monday during a luncheon at the Mayo Hotel and 2 Works for You took home some hardware.

KJRH was awarded with Best Overall Website Design.

The Great Plains Journalism Awards is a regional contest honoring print, Web, TV and magazine journalists for outstanding stories, photography and design. The eight-state competition includes Oklahoma, Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota.

The Great Plains award is the latest recognition KJRH.com has received. Our site has also been recognized by these recent organizations:

  • 2015 Society of Professional Journalists Oklahoma - Best Web Design
  • 2015 Society of Professional Journalists Oklahoma - Online Breaking News Coverage
  • 2014 National Edward R. Murrow Award - Best Website
  • 2014 Regional Edward R. Murrow Award - Best Website

The Great Plains Journalism Awards competition attracts entries from the region’s largest and best organizations and boasts a distinguished panel of judges, many of whom are Pulitzer Prize winners. More than 800 journalists have been honored since the contest began eight years ago.
