EMSA is awarding Jenks High School teacher Marla Cole with an Everyday Hero medal on Wednesday morning.
Medics say she helped a student after a traumatic accident at school.
EMSA will also be recognizing other teachers and staff who "played a vital role in the positive outcome."
According to the Jenks Public Schools website, Cole teaches food and nutrition. She's also part of FCCLA.
The ceremony will be held at the high school at 9 a.m.
