Another cold front is expected to roll through Green Country this weekend, and right now it looks like we will see an increased chance for severe storms to go with it.

At this point models are in relatively good agreement that the front will move in on Saturday night through early Sunday morning. As of now, it looks like it will approach around 8 p.m.

A line of storms will develop along the edge of that cold front, and as we typically see, the leading edge of that front is where we have the best chance for seeing severe storms develop.

Strong winds, hail, and heavy rainfall are the main threats with this line as it develops to the west and pushes through.

Rainfall amounts are greater than last week's rain event. In fact, 1-2 inches of rainfall is possible on Saturday night as this moves through. However, some areas may even see upwards of 4-5 inches of rainfall.

Right now we will see slightly cooler air on Sunday, but a second push of cool air moves into the area Tuesday.
