FAIRVIEW, Okla. – The Major County Sheriff’s Office and the OSBI are searching for two inmates who escaped Tuesday morning.

32-year-old Andrew Foy and 37-year-old Darren Walp are suspected of stealing a prison transport van and overpowering two officers around 3:30 a.m.

Major County deputies say the van was traveling through Oklahoma and heading to Kansas when the incident occurred north of Fairview. The van had six other inmates, but they refused to cooperate with Foy and Walp and stayed behind.

After stealing the van, Foy and Walp took off on U.S. 412. The last known location of the inmates was in Ringwood, according to Major County deputies. That is where Foy and Walp are suspected of stealing a 2006 maroon Dodge Ram 1500.

It is unknown where they were headed.

Major County deputies have the other six inmates in custody.

Authorities say both inmates should be considered dangerous and could be armed.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Major County Sheriff’s Office at 580-227-4471.
