The Republican National Committeehas revealed its picks for this year’s platform committee leadership and among those chosen is a name familiar to Oklahoma.
Governor Mary Fallin was named as a platform co-chairperson for the committee, along with Congresswoman Virginia Foxx of North Carolina. Senator John Barrasso of Wyoming will serve as chairman of the committee.
“It is my privilege to be serving on this committee,” said Fallin. “We are going to honor the will of Republican voters everywhere and write a platform that articulates the solutions America needs after eight years of a sputtering economy, more debt, out of control government and a foreign policy of leading from behind.”
The convention is scheduled to be held July 18, 2016.
