SAPULPA, Okla. – A wanted felon is in custody after a witness’ tip led authorities to the location of the suspect.
Authorities were led on high-speed chase after locating a wanted felon reportedly driving a stolen truck. The person led them on a chase that eventually ended with police officers crashing the unmarked vehicle in a field behind a church just east of Highway 97.
Initially the wanted felon fled on foot but was later noticed by a citizen who made an emergency call, eventually leading the arrest of the suspect.
The citizen noticed the felon attempting to break into a house.
“I was scared, momma was, too. She was like ‘Oh my God,” said Brenda Beard, caller.
