Two people severely injured in hammer attack; Tulsa police looking for person of interest, Jose Diaz

TULSA - Police are investigating a hammer attack that left two people hospitalized early Thursday morning.

When first responders arrived on scene, the victims were found with severe head wounds. They were transported to St. John Hospital in extremely critical condition.

Officers say the attack happened around 1:15 a.m. on West 41st Street.

Police are looking for Jose Diaz as a person of interest in the case.

He's described as a White Hispanic, 30-years-old, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 145 pounds. Police say he was last seen leaving the residence on foot.

The weapon used in the beating has not been recovered.
