TULSA COUNTY-- A suspect gets away with a buck--but it isn't a successful Oklahoma hunting story--police say the suspect pointed a gun at a man and robbed him of $1.

Authorities say that Carlton Franklin is now in custody.

Police say it happened around 6000 W. 11th Street after 2am Thursday.

According to the police report, the victim said that he was walking near his residence when the suspect drove up to him in a blue SUV, got out, pointed a pistol at him and demanded his money.

TPD says the victim only had $1, but cooperated and gave the suspect his money.

Then, police say, the suspect then told the victim to give him more and the victim handed him his empty wallet.

Police say the suspect drove away westbound on 11th Street from the complex.

Then, after 2:30am, Tulsa County Sheriff's Office Deputy observed a vehicle matching the robbery vehicle at the Kum and Go in Sand Springs.

TCSO conducted a traffic stop and detained a subject after observing a camouflage coat in the back seat.

Deputies checked the trashcans near the fuel pumps as the driver had driven to one before he was stopped.

Officials say that a .45 caliber Glock handgun, along with gloves and a hat that would have partially covered the suspect's face, were located in the trashcan.

Franklin was arrested and booked into the Tulsa County Jail for armed robbery and weapon charges.
