SAND SPRINGS, Okla. -- Police are searching for a 16-year-old boy, who is accused of slashing his father in the face with an ax.

Sand Springs police said it happened around 12:30 a.m. Saturday at a home near McKinley and Fourth.

Police said Jason Costes waited for his father to come home and attacked him with a hatchet causing injuries to his dad's face, arm and leg. Costes left the scene with the ax as well as a shotgun in a 2003 silver Honda Pilot with Cherokee Nation tag, CE1000.

Costes is described as an Indian male, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds.
