TULSA – The former Tulsa County Reserve Deputy convicted of second degree manslaughter is now in the custody of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.

Robert Bates is currently undergoing a routine assessment in Lexington, Kentucky.

In April, a jury found Bates guilty of second degree manslaughter for the death of Eric Harris. DOC officials will decide later where he'll spend his four-year sentence.
